Cycling along the right bank of the Po
If you love cycling excursions, you have probably heard of the Right Bank of the Po Trail, one of the longest cycling routes in Europe with its 100 km in length connecting Stellata to Gorino.
Join us on a tour of the most interesting places you can admire while cycling along this famous bike path. The first stop of the route is represented by the Rocca Possente of Stellata. The splendid building, constructed around the year one thousand and expanded by the Estensi in 1362, allowed for the control of ship passage. Today it is one of the symbols of Bondeno and hosts interesting exhibitions and temporary displays. Absolutely unmissable for those who love art and history.
Continuing with our tour we can reach the famous Water Mill, located in the floodplain area of Ro. It is a faithful reproduction of the mills that populated the banks of the Po over a hundred years ago, the result of careful historical research and the keeper of the Bread Museum (currently closed for maintenance, but always very fascinating).
Cycling through often unspoiled nature and taking advantage of the large number of bike paths, we then arrive at the Castle and the Grand Forest of Mesola. Ancient hunting reserve of the Estensi, even today here you can find deer, stags, badgers, and many other animals.
If you love nature, just continue along the route to reach the ports of Goro and Gorino and take advantage of the numerous boat excursions on the Po or in the Sacca di Goro, areas very renowned for birdwatching. You will thus be able to admire the most fascinating specimens in their natural habitat. An experience you will never forget!
Staying at the Florenz Open Air Resort you can organize an excursion in the last stretch of this beautiful tour, from the Forest of Mesola to the Sacca di Goro. Are you ready to go?
